Bryan Stratman
Bryan has music in his blood. His grandfather, an accomplished jazz saxophonist who played professionally for over 50 years, introduced Bryan to music at age 4. Bryan chose the piano and electric keyboard as his main instruments of choice, studying Berkley music theory with a private instructor at a young age. At age 15 he bought his own 4-track tape machine and has been recording ever since.

In November of 2000, Bryan built Capricorn Studios, a thriving 1300 sq ft custom recording facility in downtown San Diego, where he has been perfecting his recording, producing, and musicianship for the past 8 years. He has worked with national bands such as The B-Side Players, Brazilian Girls, Fountains of Wayne, Cattle Decapitation, Killah Priest (of Wu Tang Clan), and has performed voice-over recording for Comedy Central, Discovery Channel, M&M Mars, Subaru and others.

One of Bryan's own bands, Crash Encore has received acclaim and success locally in San Diego and across the US. In 2009 the band undertook the task of releasing 25 free songs to their fans online. When not in the studio Crash Encore performs at venues such as the Casbah, Anthology, the Belly Up, and recently The Hard Rock Hotel Las Vegas. The band has also appeared on NBC's Concerts in the Square, several local and national radio stations, and was nominated for San Diego Music Award's "Best New Artist" in 2007.

For Bryan's newest project, Hyena , he has teamed up with Transfer drummer, Michael Cooper. This 2 man "indie-electro" group has quickly gained local acclaim and has performed at The Casbah, U-31, Voyeur, and live for X1FM Radio. The band has also appeared on NBC's Concerts in the Square, several local and national radio stations, and was nominated for San Diego Music Award's "Best New Artist" in 2007.
